Combining interactive experiences with information about life in the 1700s, the Old Salem Children's Museum gives young children and families an opportunity to explore the world through the technology and games of times long past. A child-sized house, built to resemble homes from the 18th century, gives children a place to investigate the domestic space of the past, while balance scales and marble race tracks serve as fun education about scientific concepts. Located just west of Salem College, the museum is part of the Old Salem Museums & Gardens, which also contains the Historic Town of Salem tour and the Toy Museum, filled with antique toys.
