SciWorks offers an interactive environment in which visitors can learn about the planet's wonders through exhibits occupying more than 25,000 square feet of space and a lovely outdoor exploratory park. Inside the museum, areas like HealthWorks, BioWorks and SoundWorks explore various aspects of science through high-tech exhibits and hands-on activities designed just for children. Outside the building, a short trail winds through 15 acres of habitats created to replicate the home environment of local critters including otters, deer and butterflies. Located about seven miles north of downtown, the museum is close to Historic Bethabara Park, a reconstructed historic Moravian village.
