Dedicated to the various art forms that were predominant in the region between the late 1600s and the late 1800s, the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts displays everything from ceramics and textiles to furniture and paintings. Inside the museum, 24 rooms have been furnished in various styles once common in the Chesapeake, the Low Country and the Backcountry regions of the south, which reach from Maryland to Georgia to Kentucky. Part of the Old Salem Museums & Gardens complex, visitors can also tour the Historic Town of Salem or stop by the Old Salem Children's Museum.
